Weekly update #29 of building my personal branding

I build my personal brand in public by sharing my stats and thoughts every single week. This update contains the dates of January 30th - February 5th, 2023.

The previous update is available 👉 here 👈

Let's dive in 👇

  • Highest Impressions: 1,667 (-45%)🔻

And here we have my thoughts: 👇

Thought #1: Posting is only 50% of the success

Sometimes you can't spend on LinkedIn as much time as you'd like to. LinkedIn noticed that. When the algorithm sees that you:

  • don't comment under your posts
  • don't engage with other authors
  • don't check the feed

It automatically drops the reach of your posts. That's why the posting is only 50% of the success.

Thought #2: DMs are a great way to increase engagement

LinkedIn promotes in your feed content from people you talked with on DMs. It works in both directions.

If you want to increase the chance of being noticed by bigger authors try to build with them relationship over the DM.

The main rule: Make it natural!

And here we have my thoughts: 👇

Thought #1: Twitter bots

LinkedIn doesn't have that problem. While Twitter has a lot of fake bot accounts. In the last week, I was tagged in many unwanted posts by those bots.

Need to find a way to avoid such situations in the future.

I use Tweet Hunter 👇 to get Twitter analytics, schedule my tweets, and get inspiration (it's an affiliate link, but feel free to remove the part after ? if you want).
